STFU Kanye
I will never criticize Kanye's ability to produce music. He has shown time and time again he can put out chart toppers and his beats are pretty damn sick. He is truly a master at what he does. Fortunately for humanity and all things that matter, he doesnt have a hand at anything important, Aside from the respect I have for his part in the music business(excluding the fact that it's no different than the last good producer that came on to the scene) he has got to be the biggest cry baby and most ignorant person in the industry. I can't think of too many other people that would fit into a catagory that he is included in. He reminds me of a child begging for attention. It really is pathetic. I would say the he puts everybody in his hood over there by Rainbow Beach in the south side of Chicago to shame but we all know better. Goes to show that it doesn't matter how much money a person makes, you can take a rat out of the hood but not the hood out of the rat.
Seriously though, get the fuck over yourself you egotistical, no humility having creaton. Sit the hell down stupid. Stop being so butt hurt when you don't get your way. Start realizing that you and your entourage are not the most deserving people in the music world.
Beyonce is great, she's beautiful and has an outstanding voice, I would never say that she is undeserving of anything she gets. It does not however justify that she needs to win everything that she is nominated for and it certainly does not mean that she is an "artist" above all others. No where close! There are real artists out there who write their own lyrics and music, play their own instruments and sing their own songs. One of which happend to win the album of the year award at the Grammys. I like Beck, he's been around for something like 20years, writes his own songs and plays multiple instruments. In an industry that creates, destroys and rebuilds itself every half decade, it's pretty impressive that he can still make relevant music. The fact that there are not too many outside hands that goes into the production of his music is a real testiment to the artistic talent of the man. He can honestly be considered and artist, not just tits, ass and a voice with a multimillion dollar producer in their corner.
I'm sure though Kanye Pest had a reason to troll the grammys again. To his belief , he thinks Beck should have given up the grammy in respect to Beyonces Artistry. Which begs the question to be asked, is there something mentally wrong with you or are you just naturally this moronic? Just keep making beats and refrain from ever showing your annoying face in public again.
Here's some of his opinion and reasoning to make you hand palm your forehead...
"The Grammys, if they want real artists to keep coming back, they need to stop playing with us. We ain't gonna play with them no more. 'Flawless,' Beyoncé video. Beck needs to respect artistry and he should have given his award to Beyoncé, and at this point, we tired of it. Because what happens is, when you keep on diminishing art and not respecting the craft and smacking people in their face after they deliver monumental feats of music, you're disrespectful to inspiration."
But turns out Kanye has grown a bit since 2009, explaining why he excercised impulse control this time around:
"We as musicians have to inspire people who go to work every day, and they listen to that Beyoncé album and they feel like it takes them to another place. Then they [the show's producers] do this whole promotional event, they'll run the music over somebody's speech, the artist, because they want commercial advertising. Like, no, we not playing with them no more. By the way, I got my wife, my daughter and my clothing line, so I'm not going to do nothing to put my daughter at risk but I am here to fight for creativity. That's the reason why I didn't say anything tonight."
Fighting for creativity huh? I think these words speak for themselves.
His little antics are not surprising. He's just begging for attention and wether it negative or positive, attention is attention. He's hanging on for dear life for relevancy. The only thing keeping him in the public eye is that shameless publicity whorish wife he has. I know, I know. By talking about him will only make his time in the light longer but I am one who believes that even though people, including myself is giving the man exactly what he wants, all this negavtive attention will
1) hurt his stock. The fact is that the people that like him will continue to like him and continue to buy his albums. The people that hate him, will continue to hate him and still won't buy his albums. Then there are the people who are on the line. Those that like his music but the more they hear him speak and the more they see his bullshit demeanor, the less they will want to spend money or attention on anything Kanye. Ultimatley, I think he loses money.
2) hurt his legacy. Legacy is continuing to be relevant after you stop producing. Really, though he has made some good music, has he really done anything new to contribute to the music world? Kanyes music is not a new style. It's not revolutionary. It doesn't have a life altering message. He is no Michael Jackson, Led Zepplin, Tu Pac, Jim Morrison, Beatles, Metalica, Dre, Eminem, Madonna, GNR , DMB and so on. They were innovators, They changed music either with their style, personalities or message. Kanye, is not one of these people. To contribute the fact that he's also a gigantic douche, I can garuntee you that as soon as he's done in the music world he will be forgotten. He will be remembered as that one guy who sang that one song. People will not go out of their way to take out one of his albums, sit back and soak in the tunes. At the very best, he will only be enjoyed when a DJ decides to go old school.
so in parting, Stop trying to prolong the inevitable and just STFU West !!
