Mouth Closed/Ears Open: It's all a Game.
I agreed very little with the Politics of Barack Obama, I thought most things that came out of his mouth was Bullshit, BUT, I watched every one of his public addresses. Every. One.
The point is that the dramatization of the political landscapes has always been ridiculously blown out of proportion, always by the opposing party, to the point where one will shut themselves completely out to anything political, no matter the importance. It happened with President Clinton, Bush, Obama and now with Trump, but with every one of these presidencies, there was eventually some good that came out of each, even with the dramatic opposition. Be very, very patient and very open-minded, and listen to what people have to say.
A. J. McLean It takes a certain kind of person to listen objectively to every decision our representatives make. They are not all the same but they are all important and just because one decision may be horrible, doesn't mean the next one will be. Let me let you in on a little secret. None of the presidents I named above are actually idiots, though their opposition will try drastically to convince you they are. You have got to get it out of your head that they are or you will never understand politics or the government. You see, once one accepts a definite, there is no longer room to grow and there is no longer a need to listen, and that is the reason why the opposition pushes this idea so much. Even when I thought BO was flushing the constitution down the toilet, I continued to follow him, his administration and his policies, because even though I didn't agree with him in most cases, I am an American and he was my President and any decisions he and his admin. made, would affect me, and I turned out to agree with him on a hand full of policies. Every two years the American politics industry fills the airwaves with the most virulent, scurrilous, wall-to-wall character assassination of nearly every political practitioner in the country - and then declares itself puzzled that America has lost trust in its politicians.
Charles Krauthammer Politics has changed very little in all the years I've followed it....and it has been more years than I'd like to admit. Every administration is always considered worse than the last one to someone and the next one will surely be "worse" than this one, to others ,so chin up buttercup and try to act like an adult. And please, spare me the "this one is different" because this one will kill our nation, Bullshit. I've been hearing this for over a decade, and yes, I know I will lose some followers for this post. Some people are too closed off to understand what I'm trying to get across.
