Everything that we hear, see, touch, feel, and smell is just an interpretation of electrical impulses passed to the brain from our nerves.So the cars you see on the road is just your brains interpretation of what a car is supposed to look like or the color it's supposed to be. The person driving the car is just an impulse telling you brain that's it's a woman with black hair. More into depth, It's the electrical impulses in your brain telling your eyes and body that it's sunny and warm outside. It's tiny electrical impulses that's telling your brain that the smells of smog is making you nauseous . It's these impulses that are telling you that you ARE indeed outside and in your car. It's these impulses telling your brain, you're moist from sweat, that the sweat is running down your tanned arm and onto your rough blue jeans...
All this I'm sure you've heard before, especially if you have ever watched the movie " The Matrix" which I'm sure almost the entire planet has.
My question is this, If everything that we see, feel, smell, hear and so on is just an interpretation by an organ in our body that has never been physically exposed to light or odor or touch, having been locked away inside our skulls, then how exactly does it know what to interpret these impulses as? What model did it use to determine what we are seeing, or smelling or touching?
What programmed our brain to interpret these impulses the way that it does ? Nothing can ever be interpreted without having a model in which to interpret it as. It's not possible, so where did this model come from?
Though science has been able to successfully discover how we actually perceive the things we do via these electrical impulses into our brains, It has never or quite possibly will never be able to answer this one little question. It's questions like these that though I have almost abandoned the concept of religion, still believe that there was or even still is a Creator or some sort of Watcher. This guiding hand or central programmer. A being of some sort that keeps our brain interpreting things the way we do. This form of consciousness that allows humanity as a unit to keep seeing, for example, a red apple. That tells our brain to interpret the feeling of that apple as cool and soft, that tells our brain to interpret the impulses it receives from the nose as the smell of freshness.
Furthermore, the fact that no matter where in the world your ancestors originally called home and no matter how educated they may have been, that they all perceived these basic physical matters of the world the same way, that is, before the invention of computers or any other means of international interactions causes me to believe that we are all programmed to this "collective consciousness." Is it possible that these "Watchers" or "Creators" are have instant access to all we think, all we do, all we write?

If we are a hologram however, who is the engineer and if we are just a dream, who is the dreamer? The answer to both questions some physicists is Us. We are projecting our own reality. We have created the Universe and all in it.
I may not be at the level yet where I can truly explore the boundaries of this concept but I hope that one day I will. For now, I keep the faith that there is still something out there that it's watching us and giving us a guiding hand, regardless of any name we may refer to it as. It makes me sleep a bit easier at night. One thing for sure, the thought that there is something continuing to subconsciously program our brain into perceiving reality the way it does makes me believe that there IS a purpose for humanity and it keeps my growing Nihilism from becoming too extreme ;)
